Tucci’s Famous Baked Spaghetti from Twin City Grill
The chefs from Twin City Grill bring back the beloved Baked Spaghetti from Tucci Benucch (a Minneapolis classic that closed after 25 years) for the Taste of Lettuce Twin Cities dinner. This dish hits all the right notes with ricotta, al dente pasta, tomatoes, basil and mozzarella, and will have you singing “That’s Amore” in no time!
Apple Spring Rolls from Big Bowl
We love a good food mash-up, and the chefs from Big Bowl give us a great one for the Taste of Lettuce Lincolnshire dinner. Crispy spring rolls are stuffed with sweet and spiced apple pie filling and then served with Homer’s Vanilla ice cream and caramel. It’s like our favorite appetizer and dessert joined forces for an Americana-by-way-of-Asia end to the meal!
Local Tomato Salad from Mon Ami Gabi
Tomato season is still going strong and the Local Tomato Salad from Mon Ami Gabi allows them to shine with a simple presentation. Fresh heirloom tomatoes are paired with Corsican feta, cucumbers and housemade red wine vinaigrette in this stellar starter on the Taste of Lettuce Oak Brook menu.
Chopped Seafood Salad from Shaw’s Crab House
Crispy greens are topped with seafood including king crab, shrimp, lobster and snow crab in this signature salad from Shaw’s at the Taste of Lettuce River North dinner. Throw in avocado, hearts of palm, hard-boiled egg, black olives, cucumbers and tomatoes and toss with creamy Louis dressing and herb vinaigrette for a light starter that’s heavy on flavor.
Oh My! Caramel Pie from Beatrix
This signature treat from Beatrix’s Pastry Chef / Partner Yasmin Gutierrez was recently named one of Chicago Magazine’s 50 Best Dishes. Guests at the Taste of Lettuce River North and Oak Brook dinners will get to try this award-winning pie with impossibly silky caramel custard and a shortbread cookie crust.
