Just in time for soup season, Summer House Santa Monica is introducing its new Coastal Soups pop-up on Thursday, December 3, a carryout and delivery-only concept offering 8 rotating varieties of soups paired with house-baked breads.
Operating out of the Summer House kitchen, Coastal Soups presents comfort by the cup or quart, showcasing the restaurant’s all-time greatest soups du jour created by Chef Ben Goodnick. Each soup is paired with a different house-baked bread, made fresh daily by Pastry Chef Erin Mooney.
The menu from Chef Ben highlights soups made from scratch with locally sourced produce, all-natural chicken and top quality Brandt Beef. Although the menu will change often with seasonal items, the restaurant will always provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Signature soups range from Roasted Pumpkin Soup with pepitas, chives with a Buttermilk Biscuit, to vegan Classic Minestrone with an Herb Focaccia, and Chicken Tomatillo Soup with a fluffy Jalapeño Corn Muffin.
“Guests were always calling us to see when their favorite soups were coming back to the menu,” says Chef Ben Goodnick. “As the weather gets colder, we wanted to fill this demand with comforting soups that our guests can now enjoy in the comfort of their own homes.”
Coastal Soups is available daily for lunch and dinner and guests can also add on their favorite Summer House or Stella Barra dishes to their order including fresh salads, pizzas, pastas and more.
Coastal Soups is available Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Friday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Pick-up is located at Summer House Santa Monica at 1954 N. Halsted St. in Lincoln Park and delivery is within a 5 mile radius of the restaurant in Chicago.
