Lettuce Entertain You’s Ramen-san Is Now Open in the West Loop
Take a tour and check out the new bowls
Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises increases its West Loop/Fulton Market footprint today as Rich Melman’s company has opened Ramen-san in between Randolph Street and Fulton Market. Ramen-san debuted in 2014 in River North, giving the area a playful spot with soup, Japanese dumplings, and late-night fried rice. The new location at 219 N. Green Street takes the elements from the original and throws in a few new curveballs.
Check out the new restaurant’s menu here. The restaurant brings late-night fried rice to the area after 10 p.m. when a special rotating selection will be available after that time. Take note: this location is credit card payments only. The location also serves three new ramens including a spicy yuzu (smoked chicken thigh, enoki, molten egg) and a katsu curry (fried pork cutlet, onsen egg).
Ramen-san isn’t the first ramen spot in the neighborhood. Ramen Takeya’s chicken-based broth stands out on Fulton Market, and the spicy bowls at High Five Ramen just south of Randolph Street are among the city’s best.
Take a tour of the space below. Ramen-san’s second location is now open in the West Loop.
Ramen-san, 219 N. Green Street, (773) 645-0085, open 4 p.m. to midnight on Sunday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
