This year’s Windy City Smokeout music and barbecue festival will spice things up with the addition of Kacey Musgraves to its lineup.
The Grammy and Academy of Country Music Award-nominated Musgraves, will perform on the three-day festival’s opening night, July 10. Pat Green will be supporting. Musgraves is still working her gold certified 2013 release Same Trailer Different Park, which topped the Country Albums chart and hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
Ten barbecue joints will be serving during the festival, ranging from Chicago favorites such as Chicago Q, Lillie’s Q, Bub City and Smoque to visitors from Mississippi (Ubons), Arkansas (Hogapalooza), Texas (the Salt Lick BBQ) and more. Myron Mixon of TLC’s “BBQ Pitmasters” will present grilling seminars and Adam Richman of the Travel Channel’s Man v. Food will host a Sunday BBQ brunch.
