Of course celebs were going to come to RPM Steak. Just look at who owns the place: Reality TV couple Bill and Giuliana Rancic, chef Doug Psaltis and the Melman siblings. That’s the same group that owns the popular RPM Italian. Steak opened in August and already has been visited by Rita Ora, The Cure’s Robert Smith, Gabourey Sidibe, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson. The real get, however, was Obama (pictured above). “Regardless of politics, one of the biggest honors is to have a sitting president come to your restaurant,” said co-owner R.J. Melman. “There isn’t anything cooler than that.” Melman said everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing as Obama walked through the dining room in October and shook hands with guests and restaurant staff. “I would be foolish to say it wasn’t nerve-wracking,” Melman said. “But it’s not like I was worried about burning his food. It’s nerve-wracking in that it was exciting.
