Summer’s enormous iconic fruit is making its way onto seasonal menus at restaurants and bars across the country. Watermelon stars in salads, gazpachos, crudo and cocktails, from drinks served in its hallowed out rind to fresh feta and mint starters. Fans of the fruit will find creative spins with pizza, poke, tostadas and sorbet.
