Nantucket Cape Scallops Are In Season At Shaw’s Crab House

November 1 – November 30, 2009

Shaw’s Crab House is serving fresh Nantucket Cape Scallops beginning in early November. Unlike any other bay scallop in the world, the Nantucket Cape Scallops come from the coldest, purest and most pristine waters off the islands of Nantucket and thriving on special feed, giving them a delicate texture and a light, sweet flavor. The season only lasts from a few weeks to three to four months, so it is truly a special time of year. The uniqueness of these scallops makes them a must-have during the short time they are available. For more information, visit www.shawscrabhouse.com.

After being shucked from their shells and overnighted to Chicago, the Nantucket Cape Scallops are served with Shaw’s rice and a choice of lemon or garlic butter. Other featured dishes include: Shaw’s Seafood Platter with garlic shrimp, Nantucket Cape Scallops, and crab cake; and the Club Room Combination, a 6 ounce filet with Nantucket Cape Scallops and grilled garlic shrimp.
