A Classic French Bistro

For some customers who have been coming here for years, all the restaurant needs to serve is its great roasted chicken with mushrooms, bacon, and pearl onions. For others, it's a classic steak and crisp, flat pommes frites. Still others are content with just the onion soup and a frisée-and-bacon salad with a poached egg on top. And that wonderful crisp baguette with real fresh butter.

Fact is, for anyone who knows and loves classic French bistros and their honest-to-goodness, remarkably flavorful classic dishes, Mon Ami Gabi is simply the perfect place.     Beginning October 2 through October 3, Mon Ami Gabi will offer a special Rosh Hashanah dinner from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. Guests can enjoy a multi-course menu of traditional holiday fare including Challah Bread with Apples and Honey, Matzo Ball Soup, Classic Braised Brisket of Beef, family-style sides, dessert and more. Please find the full menu here.

    The dinner is priced at $44.95 and $16.95 for children ages 12 and under , +tax (gratuity not included). Available for carry out.     Dancers Mitsy and Can Candrea of Can-Can Chicago will put on a traditional French performance right here in our restaurant.     Executive Chef Michael Battocletti invites you to preview the rich flavors of fall at the first installment of our Chef’s Dinner series. This multi-course dinner highlights locally sourced ingredients as we welcome a delicious array of new, seasonal dishes to our bistro menu. The evening begins with a reception in the lobby of the Belden Stratford including Chochon Bites, Escargot Buttons and Salmon Tartare, followed by a progression of Torchon Brioche with fall fruit accompaniment and Fried Chicken “Coq Au Vin” with thumbelina carrots, finishing with Roasted Apple Galette with toasted oatmeal ice cream for dessert.
