La Grande Orange

Modern American With A New Take on Beloved Classics

LGO Hospitality creator Bob Lynn and R.J. and Jerrod Melman, (sons of Rich Melman) are the partners behind Chicago's hottest new restaurant, Hub 51, and have joined forces again with the opening of La  Grande Orange Santa Monica (LGO). Located on the corner that once housed the famous Le Boulangerie (gathering place in the sixties for Santa Monica and Venice hipsters), La Grande Orange is a testament to American cooking done really well. The dishes are created each day with fresh and honest ingredients. La Grande Orange has always emphasized, fresh, organic and seasonal even before it became cool to talk about. The only freezer space holds house made gelato and ice cream.

The breakfast menu features what many consider to be the best Huevos Rancheros in Southern California. More breakfast highlights include the Commuter Sandwich served on a housemade English Muffin, egg white Daybreaker omelet, Skinny Pancakes, and poached eggs with prosciutto.  Lunch and dinner favorites at LGO include the famous LGO Brussels Sprout Salad, signature soft taco platters that use made-to-order tortillas and premium cuts of meat or fish and organic vegetables and killer burgers.  The wine list is a well edited selection of primarily California and Oregon wines available in 6 oz. and 10 oz. pours or by the bottle.  There is also a featured selection exclusively dedicated to Santa Barbara wines.  All wines are available for purchase and take away.
