    Ben Pao Celebrates Chinese Autumn Moon Festival

    Ben Pao honors China's traditional Autumn Moon Festival on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Throughout the day, Ben Pao will give each table a free moon cake, the most popular food traditionally enjoyed in China during the annual festival. Each cake will be filled with prizes including free appetizers, desserts and dinners to Ben Pao. A moon cake is a round pastry stuffed with a sweet filling that symbolizes family unity. According to the legend, moon cakes were once used to hide messages, thus allowing the Chinese to successfully overthrow their Mongol rulers in the fourteenth century.
