(Chicago, IL)—The holidays are almost here, and—in celebratory fashion—both Shaw’s Crab House locations are gearing up with a promotions, events and deals from now until New Years.
Starting November 18—in preparation for the Festival of Lights on the 19th—the downtown location will be bedazzled with twinkling white lights, poinsettias, wreaths, garland and yard after yard of holiday ribbon. Accordingly, holiday dishes will be served, including succulent Nantucket Cape Scallops, Florida Stone Crab, seasonal vegetables like roasted butternut squash & caramelized brussels sprouts and for dessert classic pumpkin pie.
The regular menu will be served at both restaurants on New Year’s Eve and Shaw’s hotel-style Sunday brunch will be served on January 1st ($45) and is free for kids 12 and under. It will feature a hot buffet line brimming with classic breakfast fare, plus Shaw’s specialties. There’s also a make-your-own-omelet and waffle station with more than a dozen ingredients; a carving station offering beef tenderloin and herb-roasted turkey; a cold seafood bar featuring sushi, oysters, Alaskan king crab bites; and salads galore, like our roasted root vegetable salad. Meanwhile, a sweets table temps with bite-sized portions of Shaw’s favorites, from crème brûlée and raspberry tartlets to key lime pie, chocolate cake, fresh fruit and candy canes.
Shaw’s Crab House, a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, features a 1940s-style take on the seafood dining experience, with retro leather banquettes, polished wood floors and Art Deco touches. The Oyster Bar provides a more casual setting for diners and serves up live music three nights a week at the Chicago location. Shaw’s—The King of Crab!
