Where to Eat Brunch in Chicago Right Now, December 2016

Brunch, not quite breakfast or lunch, is often overlooked but we're here to give it all the attention it deserves. While the Essential Brunch Map highlights longtime favorites, the Eater Chicago Brunch Heatmap is a continually updated list showing the newest places that are doing great things with their brunch menus. Because after a long work week, everyone deserves to kick back and relax over an omelet and Bloody Mary. So don't ruin your weekend by making the wrong choice. Nobody likes soggy bacon.

This month's additions include veggie oasis Bad Hunter, Italian pub Bar Lupo and the Conrad Chicago's bourbon-centric Baptiste & Bottle. They join a growing number of restaurants dedicated to making brunch as equally delicious as dinner service. Sure, you can now order a McMuffin at all hours of the day but why settle?  Start Sunday Funday off right and get your eggs (and much more) on at these red hot restaurants.

Bub City

A brunch-y spin on the meat and three conceptletsguests choose one main dish plus three sides for $16. Options range from a breakfast BLT and brisket burrito to cheesy chilaquiles and biscuits & gravy. Each meal also comes with La Colombe coffee or sweet tea.

Stella Barra Pizzeria

Lettuce Entertain You’s California-inspired pizzeria has rolled out a new brunch buffet in addition to its regular a la carte menu. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the weekends, try items like roasted corn and poblano egg enchiladas, tomato and cheddar strata, brioche cinnamon rolls and more for $19.95 per person. Libations include $5 Blood Marys, mimosas and bellinis. Kids ages 10 and under eat free.
