'Black Wednesday' specials and parties around Chicago

Black Wednesday, the liquid celebration on the evening before Thanksgiving, isn't a nationally recognized holiday, but it might as well be. The occasion is one of the biggest drinking nights of the year, as people flock to watering holes to meet up with old friends who've congregated in town (or perhaps simply to avoid relatives).

Of course, this wet holiday is a popular one in Chicago. If you're headed out, here are 14 different bars celebrating with parties and specials.

Nacional 27 Nacional 27’s dance club will turn down the lights and turn up the music for Black Wednesday, with a late-night dance party ($10 cover charge) led by DJ X. Bottle service is available. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. 325 W. Huron St., 312-664-2727, www.nacional27chicago.com
