Mon Ami Welcomes New Year with Pajama Brunch

Guests literally rolled right out of bed to celebrate New Year's Day in their pajamas at Mon Ami Gabi in Oak Brook. The third-year promotion was expanded to include the entire first weekend of 2011 and has been a successful event for the Oakbrook Center Mall restaurant.

Restaurant regulars Brian and Bronwen Leone of Hinsdale had their first date at Un Grand Cafe, which became Mon Ami Gabi, in downtown Chicago nearly 20 years ago. Sunday they were dining in their pajamas with their four children, Candace, 17, Olivia, 15, Beau, 14, and Frances, 11. "I woke them all up around 10 o'clock," Brian Leone said. "This has always been one of our favorite places to eat," Bronwen Leone said. "We've been here the last three years and it's a great way to start the new year."
